An Afternoon’s Study After J.M.W. Turner

Attempting to accurately recreate an other artist’s work can sometimes be a great exercise in studying their techniques and therefore also improving your own. In this tutorial, the artist recreates “The Great Falls of the Reichenbach” in pencil, and is kind enough to show you exactly how this is is done. From explaining which tools are used, to explaining how to recreate the lighting, this tutorial will show how to do such a study.
